ALLROUNDER TREND – the new global standard

The world premiere of the ALLROUNDER TREND heralds an exciting new era. With this launch, ARBURG is adding completely redeveloped electric machines for standard applications to its portfolio of proven high-end technology solutions. Allrounder Trend machines are specifically designed for current market needs. They are quick to set up, particularly easy to operate and maintain, and produce moulded parts with a high degree of reliability and energy efficiency.

Easy and cost-efficient production of moulded parts

ALLROUNDER TREND machines are available at short notice, enabling injection moulding plants to remain flexible and competitive despite frequently changing orders in increasingly fast-paced markets. The time span from order to delivery ex works is usually only around four weeks. With their modest investment and operating costs, the Trend machines deliver a fast return on investment (ROI) and low total cost of ownership (TCO). This means that the purchase pays off even with short machine running times. As a result, ARBURG is also of interest to entirely new markets where high-quality injection moulded parts must be produced efficiently and precisely under intense cost pressure. The machine's especially slimline design ensures a compact installation area and space-saving production, resulting in increased output per square metre.

The electric ALLROUNDER TREND machines – quick to set up, intuitive to operate and easy to maintain.

Quick and easy set-up and productive operation

Thanks to intuitive controls and "intelligent" assistance functions, even inexperienced employees can quickly get up to speed. Convenient set-up and changeover are ensured by features such as the large, accessible mould installation space as well as cleverly arranged interfaces close to the mould for the electronics, pneumatic system, and cooling water. Peripheral devices can be effortlessly connected using plug-and-work and the cylinder module can be quickly replaced if necessary. This allows the machine to quickly enter the productive phase, saving time and resources. To familiarise staff with the new system, ARBURG offers new training concepts in the form of e-learning and remote training courses.

Easy and intuitive operation

The TREND machines feature the new GESTICA lite control system variant, whose intuitive interface with its clear dashboard is easy to use, even for non-qualified personnel. Here, too, the focus is on making things easy, with the user interface providing everything needed for the job at a glance. This includes information about the order and the current process, as well as direct access to the most important parameters - all intelligently and actively supported by assistance functions. The detailed parameter pages for the clamping and injection units can be accessed directly from the dashboard using the touch function.

Easy and convenient maintenance

ARBURG has also placed great emphasis on ease of maintenance and low maintenance requirements. For improved accessibility and convenient set-up, the sliding guard has been substantially enlarged and the slider on the injection unit can be opened wide in two stages. The maintenance points on the injection and clamping units, for example for grease lubrication, are easy to access without any special tools. Those wishing to maintain their machine themselves can obtain digital support, including installation instructions, directly on the control system: "aXw Control MaintenanceAssist" explains the tasks to be completed using step-by-step video tutorials. For maintenance by ARBURG's technical support team on the other hand, a global service network and globally standardised maintenance contracts with tailored services are available.

Options for easy extension and automation

If necessary, options such as up to two serial core pulls and freely configurable I/O interfaces can also be retrofitted. The control cabinet is equipped with numerous slots. For getting started with digitalisation, the machines are prepared for an IIoT gateway so they can be interlinked with the arburgXworld customer portal or the ARBURG host computer system (ALS), for example. For automated moulded part production, the ALLROUNDER TREND machines can be equipped with ARBURG robotic systems such as the linear MULTILIFT SELECT 4 and a suitable compact guard and can also be integrated into complex turnkey systems. In general, all ARBURG robotic systems can be used and fully integrated into the machine controller.
