ARBURG at the Swiss Plastics Expo 2026

The 2026 trade fair year kicks off for ARBURG with the Swiss Plastics Expo in Lucerne, Switzerland, where the company will present an electric ALLROUNDER 370 A with GESTICA control system at Stand C1061 in Hall 1. Instead of petroleum-based plastic, this machine processes an alternative material called paper pearls.

Electric ALLROUNDER processes innovative material

An electric ALLROUNDER 370 A processes the paper pearls, which have a fibre content of over 50 per cent. The main component of the paper pearls is primary and secondary paper fibres that are combined with bio-based and biodegradable plastics based on lignin, starch or corn to make them injection mouldable. Using a 1-cavity mould, the paper pearls are turned into a “reef knot“ puzzle in a cycle time of around 60 seconds. A MULTILIFT SELECT 8 linear robotic system removes the moulded part and sets it down on the conveyor belt.
Active compensation of material and batch to batch variations is performed by the software-based pilot function “aXw Control RecyclatePilot” in the GESTICA machine controller. It ensures uniform mould filling, stable shot weights and high part quality. The RecyclatePilot is equally suitable for processing post-industrial and post-consumer recycled material, reground material and bio-based plastics.
