Two-tone dominoes

A sophisticated turnkey system based around an ALLROUNDER MORE 2000 demonstrates efficient multi-component injection moulding. The two-component machine produces high-quality, two-tone dominoes using a 64-cavity hot runner mould. For the automated robotic system, the linear MULTILIFT V 30 and a cobot work together seamlessly, producing complete game sets that are made up and packaged directly.

Efficient

32 two-tone dominoes are produced from ABS simultaneously in just around 60 seconds.

Automated

The linear MULTILIFT and the cobot work together seamlessly, delivering a fully automatic robotic system right up to the fully packaged domino set.

Flexible

The modular design of the ALLROUNDER MORE enables easy adaptation to various processes and applications.

ALLROUNDER MORE 2000

The ALLROUNDER MORE machines offer lots of space for larger moulds, rotary units and media connections. Their electric toggle-type clamping unit with energy-efficient servo motors and two electric injection units ensure precise and dynamic operation. Well-thought-out features make this series particularly user friendly and low maintenance, while a modular design makes it ideal for multi-component and special processes.

More about the ALLROUNDER MORE

Multi-component injection moulding

The ALLROUNDER MORE 2000 produces 32 two-tone dominoes in just around 60 seconds. Unlike with classic two-component processes, the mould is not rotated; instead, a system made up of 64 hot runners as well as cylinders and slides direct the two components into the correct cavities in a targeted manner. This produces 28 tiles in all combinations from 0:0 to 6:6 as well as four partner tiles with a logo. Automation

In the production cell, a MULTILIFT V 30 removes the finished moulded parts from the mould and places them on a conveyor belt. The automation is complemented by a mobile cobot that picks up the dominoes from the conveyor belt outside the safety fence and places them in a cardboard box. The box is placed in any position on a work table by an employee. A 3D camera system in the cobot detects the spatial position of the dominoes, the box and the lid. The cobot then picks up eight dominoes at a time from the conveyor belt, stacks them into the box and places the lid on the box.
