FAKUMA 2026: Standalone robots from ARBURG

ARBURG’s robotic systems in the Standalone version will make their debut at FAKUMA 2026. These can be used independently of injection moulding machines and are operated very easily, safely and intuitively via the new, standalone ‘rControl’ robotic control panel. As examples of flexible automation, a standalone, upstream cell at the ARBURG stand 3101 in Hall A3 will demonstrate the interaction of several interlinked robots. These assemble folding boxes and transfer them to a production cell that injection-moulds the dominoes.

Standalone: Can be integrated into existing production

Standalone variants are available for the MULTILIFT SELECT Cartesian robot systems with loads ranging from 4 to 16 kilograms, as well as for the Yaskawa SCARA and six-axis robots “Powered by ARBURG”. A MULTILIFT SELECT as a standalone solution is ideally suited to standard tasks, whilst a Yaskawa six-axis robot is suitable for complex handling operations. One or more ‘Standalone’ robots can be integrated into new turnkey systems or retrofitted into existing systems, regardless of the manufacturer, to flexibly expand them and thus extend their service life. For production cells featuring ALLROUNDERs, ARBURG is responsible for CE certification; for third-party machines, this is the customer’s responsibility.

‘rControl’ mobile control unit for standalone robots

To enable the standalone robots to be programmed and operated independently, they are equipped with an extended control cabinet complete with a control system, as well as new mobile control panels. The control panel is particularly compact and lightweight. The intuitive user interface, familiar from the GESTICA machine controller, enables rapid setting into operation and is easy to use even for untrained staff. The clearly laid-out display provides clear orientation and straightforward handling during day-to-day operation. This allows programs to be created efficiently and production processes to be controlled reliably, even independently of the injection moulding machine.
