Successful appearance at the Fakuma 2026 trade fair

ARBURG can look back on a highly successful Fakuma, which took place from 12 to 16 October 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. On the occasion of the trade fair's 30th anniversary, ARBURG was honoured as one of its very first exhibitors and was also the first company to receive the newly established Paul Eberhard Schall Medal. The largest stand at the trade fair was a real crowd-puller: focusing on the "Smartest Factory", ARBURG struck a chord with existing and prospective customers alike. The 14 innovative machine exhibits on display at ARBURG's stand and at partner stands were also extremely well received by industry professionals.

Smartest Factory: Focus on digitalisation and automation

In the central "Smartest Factory" exhibition area, trade visitors learned how ARBURG supports its customers as they move towards digitalisation and data integration. With the help of digital services, software solutions and automation, customers can optimise machines, production cells, their complete injection moulding production process, and even the whole factory to achieve maximum efficiency and minimum unit costs. In this way, ARBURG meets each customer exactly where they are on their journey.

New and in demand: Autonomous robots from ARBURG

The domino application proved to be a real hit with the public. A two-component ALLROUNDER MORE 2000 machine with a 32-cavity mould, which had won second place in the Fakuma 2026 Innovation Award on the first day of the trade fair, was used to produce 32 different two-colour dominoes – a challenging injection moulding task. Another big draw was the standalone automation cell next door, where two YASKAWA six-axis robots and a MULTILIFT SELECT in "Standalone" versions demonstrated how they could handle upstream or downstream tasks with no injection moulding machine at all. Customers can now also scale up flexibly to meet their automation needs, retrofit existing systems to extend their service life, and significantly boost their production efficiency. This is made possible by a separate control cabinet for standalone robots and another new feature, the mobile rControl operating panel, which has the same intuitive user interface as the GESTICA machine controller.

Strong interest in TREND standard machines

A total of six automated ALLROUNDERs were on display at the ARBURG stand at Fakuma 2026. The two electric ALLROUNDER TREND machines, which produced insulators for automotive connectors and LSR closures for medical technology, were particularly popular with existing and prospective customers.

Pioneering turnkey solutions

A benchmark in terms of digital data integration was the "NextGen Medical Solution" – a turnkey system centred around an electric ALLROUNDER 570 A, which ARBURG has developed in collaboration with expert partners and a renowned OEM in the medical technology sector. Based on the example of an injector pen, visitors were shown the significant benefits offered by consolidating all data into the central GESTICA controller, together with its many smart pilot and assistance functions.

Career Friday

The attractive ARBURG stand was part of many trade fair tours. For Career Friday, entitled "Mold your dreams, mold your future", ARBURG's trade fair team was boosted by a number of apprentices and trainers, who explained the key topic of the "Smartest Factory" to the mostly young guests and highlighted the wide range of career opportunities at ARBURG.
