arburgXworld app 02/15/2023 The free app for our arburgXworld customer portal has been given a major update. The user interface has been significantly improved and all the functions familiar to you from the web version of our customer portal have been added. App with new features The arburgXworld app allows you to access all the usual features of the web version: you can order spare parts in the shop and submit service enquiries to ARBURG. The app for smartphones also has additional practical functions. For example, you can print out DMC labels in our arburgxworld customer portal and attach these to the relevant machine. You can scan these codes with the mobile app, which takes you directly to the corresponding machine profile in the "MachineCenter", where you will find documents, equipment and ticket history for your machine. On tablets, the app also supports our "VirtualControl" control simulation so that you can create, analyse and optimise your data sets wherever you are. There is no need to reinstall the app; an update via the respective store is sufficient: Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/arburg-service-app/id1438235415?itsct=apps_box_badge&itscg=30200 Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arburg.app.service&gl=DE&pcampaignid=pcampaignidMKT-Other-global-all-co-prtnr-py-PartBadge-Mar2515-1

Graduation ceremony 2022 04/06/2022 ARBURG Partner, Renate Keinath, officially discharged a total of 29 industrial trainees from their training obligations on 4 April 2022. All of them have been taken on as permanent employees by ARBURG. Renate Keinath personally presented them with their certificates and prizes for particularly good achievements. Training completed successfully On behalf of the entire ARBURG management, the Partner congratulated the graduates on passing their final examinations, and also expressly thanked the highly-motivated training team. ARBURG offers excellent triple-certified training and is also a leader in the area of digitalisation. For example, laptops, video chats, learning management and remote access were already part of the trainees' daily routine even before the coronavirus pandemic. "Thanks to online teaching and digital methods, you have almost incidentally acquired a very high level of IT competence. When achieving your goals, you were also challenged in terms of flexibility," Renate Keinath told the graduating trainees. "You will certainly benefit from these additional skills in your future professional life," she continued. The Partner also presented six prizes for particularly good achievements. 2018 cohort starts professional life In his speech, Head of Training, Michael Vieth, who led the 16 members of the training team, also wished the new ARBURG employees a good start to their careers. He looked back on difficult conditions: "You have been accompanied by 'social distancing' and you have experienced what it is like to do chin-ups and somersaults in digital communication." As important tips, he told the graduates to remain flexible, courageous and curious. 106 new trainees and students in September 2022 Because there are fewer and fewer really well-qualified personnel on the labour market, ARBURG continues to rely heavily on finding and training young talent itself. In September 2022, ARBURG will therefore enable 106 young people to successfully start their careers – more than ever before. For the press: Please download the texts and images Press material
ARBURG at RAPID + TCT 2022 04/07/2022 From 17 to 19 May 2022, ARBURG will be exhibiting at RAPID + TCT in Detroit, USA. Two freeformer 300-3X models will be on display at stand 2108: a standard system, and a machine for processing high-temperature materials. Another highlight will be the presentation of arburgXworld's "ProcessLog" app. Safe processing of high-temperature materials The freeformer 300-3X can process high-temperature materials such as ULTEM 9085, which is a permanently flame-retardant and low-smoke material suitable for aerospace applications, and also biocompatible, resorbable, sterilisable and FDA-approved original materials. At RAPID + TCT 2022, the high-temperature freeformer, whose build chamber can be heated to 200 degrees Celsius, will process a medically approved PEEK granulate. The second freeformer 300-3X will produce a two-component gripper made of soft TPU membrane that is positively expanded using compressed air. ProcessLog: Job tracking and documentation The APF process is also particularly interesting for the practical use of products in safety-relevant areas because the process quality can be reliably documented and each part can be clearly traced. All freeformers can be networked as standard via an IIoT gateway – for example with the "arburgXworld" customer portal. The specially developed "ProcessLog" app allows a wide range of process and build job data for APF parts to be displayed in clear graphical form, documented, and traced on a part-specific basis. Spectacular Danube project 04/20/2022 As a main sponsor, ARBURG supports the transnational project "cleandanube": The "swimming professor" Andreas Fath plans to swim the entire length of the Danube from Ulm to the Black Sea by 17 June 2022. Ten countries, one goal: A plastic-free Danube The Danube alone washes over four tonnes of plastic into the Black Sea every day, much of it in the form of microplastics. Prof. Dr Andreas Fath wants to use the swimming project to draw attention to microplastic pollution and water protection. In the course of his swim, Professor Andreas Fath will cross ten countries – including Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Injection moulding machine on tour – recycling made tangible The launch event took place on 19 April 2022 at the source of the Danube in Furtwangen. There, the chemistry professor received a small single-lever injection moulding machine that will accompany him on the journey. A team of five ARBURG apprentices spent around 1,000 hours rebuilding the machine. At the various stages, visitors will be able to use it to make shopping trolley chips from recycled plastic. Numerous activities along the 2,700 km route Numerous activities, campaigns and workshops will take place at the individual stations along the 2,700 km swimming route. There is also a mobile knowledge workshop and water samples will be analysed on a regular basis. On the project website www.cleandanube.org you can find an overview with the individual stages and also live tracking. For the press: Please download the texts and images Press material
Successful ARBURG fundraising campaign 05/02/2022 At the end of March, the ARBURG Partners, together with the ARBURG Works Council, called for a fundraising campaign for refugees from Ukraine. Donations from employees were tripled by the Partners – with the result that an impressive 150,000 euros were ultimately raised. On Wednesday 27 April 2022, the donation cheque was handed over to the deputy district administrator of the Freudenstadt district. Strong together The ARBURG fundraising campaign for refugees from Ukraine was intensively promoted throughout the company, including a video message on the intranet by ARBURG Managing Partner Renate Keinath, who is responsible for Human Resources Management. During the three-week period, employees donated a total of around 50,000 euros. ARBURG's Partners then tripled this substantial amount at the end of the campaign. Donations provide direct help The donation of 150,000 euros will benefit the Ukraine assistance programme of the district of Freudenstadt, which supports Ukrainian refugees in its Polish partner district of Tomaszowski as well as refugees from Ukraine who have been taken in by the district of Freudenstadt. Reinhard Geiser, Deputy District Administrator of the Freudenstadt district, accepted the symbolic cheque from Renate Keinath and Thomas Brunnenkant, Chairman of the Works Council. On behalf of the district, he thanked the ARBURG employees and Partners. The advantage, he explained, is that they have direct contact with their partner district in Poland, where around 20,000 refugees arrive every day, and can find out from local helpers exactly what is currently needed.
ARBURG at Plastpol 03/23/2022 At Plastpol 2022 in Kielce (Poland) from 24 to 27 May 2 2022 in Hall E, stand E30, ARBURG will be focusing on medical technology and packaging using automated sequences as well as digitalisation via the arburgXworld customer portal. Medical technology: 19,200 moulded parts per hour A hybrid ALLROUNDER 520 H will be producing pipettes in a cycle time of around six seconds at the trade fair. This will enable a throughput of some 19,200 moulded parts per hour. As a complete production cell, the system is equipped, among other things, with a clean-air module with ionisation that can be moved via the clamping unit. Packaging: small "crinkle box" The second step, also automated, will be an electric machine from the ALLDRIVE series. A turnkey system based around an ALLROUNDER 570 A will be manufacturing what is known as a crinkle box. Part removal and set-down is handled by a MULTILIFT SELECT robotic system. Digitalisation: arburgXworld customer portal At the ARBURG stand, visitors to Plastpol will witness for themselves how digitalisation can be dealt with successfully in modern injection moulding companies. A demo version of the "arburgXworld" customer portal will be available there for live testing. For the press: Please download the texts and images Press material
